Privacy policy
What Should I Grade It? does with your data, in plain English.
The short version
Your card photos never leave your device. The measuring happens in your browser. We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and there are no accounts or tracking cookies.
What stays on your device
Your photos, scan history and collection are stored in your browser on your device. You can export or delete them from the Data tab.
What our server handles
- Card lookups. To identify a card and price it, the app sends its printed card number or TCGplayer product number to our server. No photo is sent.
- Collection sync. If you use the app on more than one device, your collection's card details, values, notes and what you paid are stored on our server under your private collection code, so linked devices can share it. Photos are never included.
- Centering report, only if you agree. If you say yes when the app asks, or switch it on in the Data tab, each scan sends the card's set and its two centering numbers to build the public centering report. Nothing else is sent: no photo, no collection code, nothing that identifies you. It's off unless you turn it on.
- Scan counts. We count how many full scans each collection code uses per month, to apply the free limit. Counts are kept for about 40 days.
Our server runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests on our behalf.
Payments
Pro payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details and email address; we never see or store your card number. We receive your Stripe customer reference, your plan and whether it's active, linked to your collection code.
Prices and data sources
Prices come from public market data: TCGplayer market prices through TCGCSV, and graded sales data from PokemonPriceTracker. We don't send them anything about you.
Deleting your data
To remove your synced collection from our server, email [email protected] with your collection code, which is inside any backup you export from the Data tab, and we'll delete it. To cancel payments, use "Manage or cancel subscription" in the Data tab.
Children
Paid plans are for adults or with a parent's permission, since payment requires a card.
