The rules for using Should I Grade It?, including how Pro subscriptions are billed and cancelled.

Last updated October 5, 2026

The service

Should I Grade It? estimates how a trading card might be graded from photos you take, and shows market prices from public sources. Every grade is an estimate, not an official grade, and prices change. Only grading companies such as PSA, TAG, CGC and Beckett can issue a grade. Decisions you make about grading, buying or selling cards are your own.

Should I Grade It? is not affiliated with PSA, TAG, CGC, Beckett, TCGplayer, eBay, Nintendo, Creatures, Game Freak or The Pokémon Company. Pokémon is a trademark of Nintendo, Creatures and Game Freak.

Free and Pro plans

The free plan includes 5 full card scans each calendar month. The centering calculator, grading calculator and collection are free on every plan. Pro removes the monthly scan limit, subject to fair use of up to 300 scans a month, which keeps the service working for everyone.

Pro costs $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year in US dollars, plus any tax that applies where you live. Prices may change; any change applies from your next renewal, and we'll show the new price before it does.

Billing, renewal and cancelling

Payments are processed by Stripe. Pro renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the Data tab in the app under "Manage or cancel subscription". When you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then your account returns to the free plan.

Refunds

Because you can try the app free before paying, payments aren't refunded for partial periods once a period has started, except where the law requires it. If you were charged by mistake or something went wrong, email [email protected] within 14 days and we'll make it right.

Your subscription and devices

There's no account or password. Your plan belongs to your collection code, a long private code stored on your device. Devices you link by scanning the QR code share the same code, collection and plan. Keep an exported backup from the Data tab: it contains your code, so you can restore your collection and Pro on a new device.

Using the service fairly

Don't try to get around the scan limit, overload the service, or copy its data in bulk. We may limit or suspend access that does. The service is provided as is; to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from decisions based on its estimates or prices, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the past 12 months.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms, and the date at the top will change when we do. Questions: [email protected].
